Alison’s involvement with Shore Poets began through music. She plays traditional Scots fiddle for dancing and listening; a love and a hobby since she was eight.

Alison was brought up in Edinburgh and returned to the city in 2000 after studying literature and theatre in Glasgow and embarking on a career in community arts. She is currently the Education Officer at the Royal Lyceum Theatre and has previously worked all over Scotland, from Kinlochbervie to Kilmarnock, delivering and coordinating drama and other creative arts programmes.
